Stars in the Service Archive

Stars in the Service was a locally produced news magazine started during World War II to be sent to every man and woman in the Armed Forces from Bethlehem, Fountain Hill, Hellertown, Freemansburg and vicinity. The magazine contained no advertising, no syndicated material and had no paid subscription list. The publishers relied on the fathers, mothers, wives, sweethearts and friends of the service men and women to contribute toward its support and success. Twelve editions were produced before the war ended in 1945.
