- Description
- Bellewood Park near Pattenburg, Nj. Circa 1907. The park, which opened in 1903, had 50 acres of hilly, wooded lawns that inspired hundreds of North Jersey residents each week to spend $1 on the Lehigh Valley Railroad's line to an otherwise uneventful Hunterdon County. When not enjoying the penny arcade, dancing hall, roller coaster, Ferris wheel, carousel and Tunnel of Love, Bellewood Park visitors could stroll through the bright green countryside. Bellewood Pa.rk closed in 1916.
